OLI CORE Counties – Knox, Macon, Monroe, Ralls

OLI BUFFER Counties – Adair, Marion, Pike, Randolf, Shelby

A sample of 12,000 was drawn for the regular small game survey. This sample was stratified on a statewide basis by permit type and region of residence. Then, an additional sample of 5,692 was drawn from the complete sampling frame stratifying on core and buffer counties as defined by county of residence.  Duplicated individuals occupying both samples were coded as SEL=3.  These individuals were mailed only 1 survey, but their responses are used in both analyses.  Those used only in the regular small game harvest survey were coded SEL=1, and those for the OLI survey only were coded SEL=2.
